Some people are eager to tell you that they can’t relax until the house is perfect. And you think, “What do you mean? Was that a hint to me?” Never mind. Enjoy life, be present, and be happy.

6 habits you should be glad you have

  1. Get up in the morning and drink your coffee in peace. Read something that gives you joy. Stress down and enjoy the start of the day. Don’t let a little mess overwhelm you.
  2. After dinner, you should take care of the dishes. If the sun is shining, go out and exercise instead. Maybe someone else takes the dishes?
  3. Watch a TV series with the kids in the evening, instead of cleaning the house. Quality time trumps a groomed house.
  4. Accept help. Are you lucky to have a mother who wants to wash your clothes? (I do💙) Say yes with joy. You can do something nice for her later.
  5. If it’s messy inside, go outside. It’s a wonderful (and somewhat temporary) solution. Be present at the moment.
  6. We all have dust bunnies. Show them off. When your friends see a messy house, they become happy. They can go…
