Some people are eager to tell you that they can’t relax until the house is perfect. And you think, “What do you mean? Was that a hint to me?” Never mind. Enjoy life, be present, and be happy.
6 habits you should be glad you have
- Get up in the morning and drink your coffee in peace. Read something that gives you joy. Stress down and enjoy the start of the day. Don’t let a little mess overwhelm you.
- After dinner, you should take care of the dishes. If the sun is shining, go out and exercise instead. Maybe someone else takes the dishes?
- Watch a TV series with the kids in the evening, instead of cleaning the house. Quality time trumps a groomed house.
- Accept help. Are you lucky to have a mother who wants to wash your clothes? (I do💙) Say yes with joy. You can do something nice for her later.
- If it’s messy inside, go outside. It’s a wonderful (and somewhat temporary) solution. Be present at the moment.
- We all have dust bunnies. Show them off. When your friends see a messy house, they become happy. They can go…
