“Could you please do me a favor?”
“Can you be the parent class representative?”
Inside, you are screaming no. But you answer: yes, I can.
And so it goes. Your days become filled with other people’s silly business and unnecessary chores because you can not say no. Someone has to do it, right?
If you want to have time to follow your dreams, you can’t continue saying yes to everything.
Adopt these mindset changes so you can painlessly say no to things you do not want to do
1) Set your head straight. Every YES is a step further away from your dreams. Is it worth it?
2) Be ready and prepared. When your default answer to anything is yes, they can’t take you off guard.
