Behind the Fence

Poem about struggling

Who hides
behind the fence
in the dark?

Is it the boy
who struggle
with his insecurity?

Is it the girl
who is attacked by anxiety
again and again.

Is it the man
who can’t find intention,
just emptiness?

Is it the woman
who can’t get away from
her self-doubt?

Or is it me
smiling uncomfortable
pretending to be confident?

You never know who is hiding
behind the fence in the dark.
Reach out your hand.
Be the bridge to the light.
