In 1998, I started studying at Norway’s largest university.

I experienced that there’s a lot of noise at a large university. I struggled to concentrate on the syllabus. Fortunately, I got some excellent advice. Listening to music while reading helped me through university. The right music has the magical skill of improving concentration.

Ever since my days at the university, I have used music to stay focused both when reading and writing.

My carefully selected and well-tested Writer’s Playlist

I have searched for songs, put my beliefs on a playlist, and tested how they affect concentration. I deleted most of them, but some worked great. I’m sharing the result with you: my ultimate Writer’s Playlist.

Some of the songs you find on the Writer’s Playlist:

  • Always Remember Us This Way (Lady Gaga)
  • A Thousand Years (Christina Perri)
  • Foolish Games (Jewel)
