My sacred morning ritual

Many people have complicated and diverse morning rituals. They strive to get off to the best possible start to have a productive day.

I don’t.

My morning is sacred. Get up and make coffee.

Coffee. My elixir of life.

I always make Aeropress. Often with freshly ground Starbucks Pike Place beans.
Steep in 3 minutes.

I sit in my favorite chair.

Enjoy the silence.
Expectation.
Oh, the wonderful smell of coffee.
Take the first magical sip.
The first sip is always the best.
You know that if you are a coffee drinker.

Half an hour in silence, just me, my coffee, and my dog.
Maybe I’m reading a book, watching the fire burn, or reading articles online.

That’s how the days should start.
