The Side Effect of Writing

You are hereby warned

I accidentally fell in love with writing.

To see word after word makes sentences and becomes a unique story. I honestly think it’s magical.

Before you can sit down to write, you need an idea. This is where I’ve experienced the side effect of writing.

I never fully relax. My subconscious is at work all the time.

Whatever I do, my brain goes: “Is this a good idea?”, “Could this become something?”, “Interesting theme. Maybe I should learn more about this?” and so on.

Occasionally, the alarm goes off:

This is a good idea!! It must be written down immediately! The danger of forgetting is extremely large.

It is when I have the opportunity to rest that creativity awakens and the ideas come. Which leads to interrupted relaxation.

Often, I get ideas while showering. Inconvenient, of course. Rushing out of the shower, water dripping everywhere, desperately searching for pen and paper. Remember, the danger of forgetting is extremely large.

Writing has a side effect I wasn’t aware of until I started. But I will sacrifice total relaxation, to experience the joy of getting an idea, writing the story, and publishing it.
