This is precisely how I feel regarding my parents-in-law. ;)

…eel I’m in the I’m OK, You’re Not OK position with my parents. After discussing with these friends, I feel like I always start from a critical spot towards them. That I expect them to be doing better and that I always feel disappointed when they don’t.
