External readers: Where are they coming from, and how do they find my story?

I recently published the story My Great-Grandmother’s Norwegian Apple Cake Recipe. It got Distributed (Food), and this particular story has surprisingly received many external views. What, how, who?

The picture below shows ‘Views by traffic source’. I don’t understand how I get 699 views from an android device. What does an android device even mean, specifically? I hope someone can enlighten me.

I can’t imagine my great-grandmother’s Norwegian apple cake recipe will rank ‘high’ on Google either 🤔
